Acupuncture

Canine Acupuncture Graphic

Acupuncture is a healing method first used by the ancient Chinese over 4000 years ago. It is the insertion of needles into specific points on the body which can stimulate nerves, increase blood circulation, relieve muscle spasms, and can cause the release of hormones such as endorphins (one of the body’s pain control chemicals).

Acupuncture has been used for a wide variety of conditions such as arthritis, intervertebral disc disease/back pain, vomiting/diarrhea, cancer (to help alleviate pain and control side effects from chemotherapy), skin conditions, or when other medications are not helping or cannot be tolerated. Acupuncture can be effectively combined with most conventional and alternative therapies.
